Having a crush on someone is not a bad thing omg all u have to do is fucking reject the person the hyung never tried anything geopol initiated their sexual relationship stop trying to make it look like the hyung wanted a sexual and or romantic relationship exchange of his job, or his house or his family he helped him with no expectations he wasn’t holding anything over geopil head
It's not a bad thing to have a crush, but I am saying that from his POV, it must have felt devastating. Finding out a friend has feelings for you changes the dynamic, it means it was never a purely familial relationship. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Also, please don't twist my words. I never said the hyung wanted a sexual exchange. My point was that geopil facilitated a physical relationship after discovering the crush because he felt emotionally betrayed and isolated. You might think his reasoning is silly, but it makes perfect psychological sense when you look at his backstory. (⌒▽⌒)
It was a messy, flawed action, but it wasn't purely malicious, and he explicitly acknowledges that. How is it as monstrous as people are making it out to be? He didn't manipulate or abuse the hyung, he just slept with him while ignoring his feelings. It was selfish, but it wasn't abusive.
I literally just said it was a wrong and selfish action, so I'm glad we agree on that. (≖_≖ )
My point is just about where his head was at and how he grows from it later, not that what he did was okay. There's a difference between an excuse and an explanation. He is a character with a bad personality that was hurt and acted out in a messy way. He was wrong, he knows it, and he changes. That's just how stories work. Though at this point, I’m not sure if you’re actually struggling to understand basic character development, or if you just lack the reading comprehension to follow my comments. I guess if a story doesn't have a perfectly flawless protagonist, it’s just too hard for some readers to grasp. (⌒▽⌒)
The point of a redemption arc or character development is that they do bad things, realize it, and change. If characters were perfect from the start, there would be no story. In the end, we're talking about two different things. You're judging the morality of the action, and I'm pointing out the motivation behind it. Let's just agree to disagree ^_^
I will actually defend him a little I’m sorry ╥﹏╥ but I do think he slept with his Hyung because he thought he would have to leave him behind if he didn’t. Ofc, the hyung didn’t force that upon him, it was just what Geonpil felt and interpreted based on his previous trauma and fear of abandonment. Also, imo, depression.
He did a bad thing because he wanted to stay surrounded by his chosen family. He used someone he considered an older brother because he knew he wasn’t the best personality wise so it was the only way to keep him close (in Geonpil’s mind). Was it wrong? Yes! Did he do it just because he was evil? Hell no. He just wanted to keep having a roof over his head next to the only person who makes him feel at home, even if that means pushing his platonic feelings aside and sleeping with them.

lol, I just have a feeling that if the top/bottom roles were reversed, more people would side with him. I mean, imagine you think you have a friend and a safe place, just to find out he wanted to fuck you and his mother feels contempt towards you. Then later, you start feeling a family-like bond with a guy, just to find out he wanted to fuck you too( ̄へ ̄)
If you have ever had a friendship with a guy that turned out to have a crush on you, you probably know how shitty it is, but in this case, he has a traumatic experience related to that, so it's much shittier. So as a result he prompted a physical relationship to fill the void inside him…
Idk, for me, they are all miserable and I don't see why people hate him so much. Of course he was wrong, but isn't the point of this plot to follow his character development? If you are unable to accept that he changed as a person, isn't it just looking for reasons to get upset? ( ̄∇ ̄")
