Yeah. Even if you read the older shojo mangas they most of the time have a stalking or assaulting scene. Sometimes also done by the ml.
In the last scene when he told him to go away and Aaron had that look like "I can't believe what I'm hearing" , bitch did you think raping someone and locking them up is okay!?!!

I’ve thought about this a lot. Now that flashlight is under serious fire for SA scenes in the latest chapters and Aaron is being plastered as a black flag on socials I’ve always just wanted to know WHY so many bl authors lean in this direction.
I’m confident that it’s to feed their respective Asian fujo audience who tend to endorse this kind of thing but WHY? I have come to believe that the east (Asia and countries amongst it) have very WARPED views of consent. I have some inkling as to where this came from historically but that’s a conversation for another day. They love their taboos and feature it in a lot of media much more so than the west. It’s very interesting. I do believe the western audiences across multiple medias are very woke (not to say that being anti-rape is woke, but woke relative to Asian monoculturistic values). Anyways sorry for the ramble I just think it’s such an odd and honestly frustrating phenomenon that I feel I must know why! It’s definitely a multifaceted conversation haha like censorship laws, fanservice (seen in the west too but I guess Asian fanservice is rape?) who knows!
