Yeah I was so maaaaad why is the Shaolin arc not heeeeere. I was waiting for that arc!!!! But your logic actually makes sense.
@lynnh -- If you meant the start of Shaolin arc in the novel, then it's 258, but I'd recommend reading 257 first, just so you could follow the flow
I think the reason why they did this arc before the shaolin one is because maybe they plan to end the season and come back for shaolin arc on next season.
