Valid point. But I feel like rather than genuine feelings, I think it is more the obssession with control. Most abusers and manipulators love to have control over people around them, to fuel their sense of superiority and ego. The way Gyeom drill into Baekhee's head over and over and over again that Baekhee is worthless, alone, and that no one will love Baekhee like he does. This is how he has behaved from the start, and it only got worse when he thinks that he is losing control over Baekhee. And the fact that Baekhee is prolly the most desperate to get out of Gijeon, the most mentally vulnerable person with a heavy trauma from domestic abuse, and to even top it off he's homosexual (that still face heavy societal judgment and criticism). Compare to other guys at Gijeon, Baekhee despite his foul mouth, is the easiest to control and manipulate, especially for a guy with money with Gyeom. Aside from that, I dont really remember if the story has revealed why Gyeom is staying in Gijeon, but I feel like his obsession with Baekhee may also stems from wanting to feel like he worthy og something? Im not sure but thats my take.
Absolutely. I still feel he really likes Baekhee genuinely but ofcourse in his own twisted control way. Remember in the begining when his friends were getting choked by Yangwoo, he was laughing his ass off but the moment Baekhee got hurt, he turned on his psycho mode. And you are right he's obsessed with ownership and is suffering from superiority complex as well. At the same time he's in complete denial that it is him who needs Baekhee the most not the other way around. I wish he would realize his mistake and get his shit together but the author is bound to make him an antagonist I guess..

Gyeom is a such a complex character... I really find him interesting... Ofcourse he's an asshole, there's no doubt abt it but his obsession with Baekhee really proves that he cannot function without him. You can see the way he's behaving right now, only baekhee can make him act like this. He manipulates Baekhee to depend on him bcoz he feels he might lose him any moment. Many might not agree with me but I think his feelings for Baekhee is genuine bcoz he would do anything for him, he doesn't give a fuck abt anyone else .. he loves baekhee in his own twisted way which is not healthy. He also doesn't know how to respect his partner bcoz he feels that he can go around sleeping with other people but baekhee can't which is ridiculous....
