This is probably the first time I’ve found something hard to read simply because the story is plain. I like the horror-like moments with the black market scene and the way Doya can be ominous, but the story is just Yeon getting pushed around by Doya and easily being overpowered since the beginning. The start of the story was so bland that I almost dropped it in the first few chapters. It felt fast paced yet so slow and boring at the same time. It really has potential, and the author did a good job at making you feel bad for Doya and his past life, but there isn’t anything else he has going for him except for being a horrible person without consequence or development yet. And Yeon himself has nothing special at all. It’s hard to really click with these characters. I’m thinking of using the few things I do like from this story as inspiration for my own characters (who may or may not feature in a game I plan to make) lol. I am curious if there will be any development, so I’ll stick around
