the art is AI-generated from the original artists work, its not just a speculation because it 'looks AI'. this is a genuine desecration of the source material (novel) and a cowardly way for kauikan to continue an incredibly profitable story for as little effort (and money) as possible after failing to retain their artist. they very well could have hired another artist, this is not a small unknown manhua by any means and the company produces massive amounts of merch for it. but instead they fed an artists original works through generative AI and went on to make it even more low effort into a 'visual novel' format. telling people to be positive over this asinine behavior is why companies can get away with ripping off artists/authors and demeaning intellectual property to churn out the largest profit margin. little mushroom is an incredibly compelling and beautiful story both in its original novel format and with the mamhua adaptation. you should be upset

Y’all are judging wayyyy too quickly. I purchased the interactive chapters and the art style is gorgeous! In my opinion, the drawings do not look AI and lwk the interactions are fun I gotta click and drag the screen and shit and the animations are cool and I hope they’re not AI :D uhh Lu Feng is still fine asf our little An Zhe is still a cutie so yeah give the interactive chapters a chance?
I read them on KuaiKan comics, it’s cheap! I paid NZD $4.99 which is like 2.99 USD or smth per month :)
Let’s try to be positive alright?
