people are not okay with rape in mangas or manhwas it's just that the mangas with rape that people like may have good plot or something better like good way of apologising or making things right or something that the reader would like personally end point no one's okay with rape . but in the end everyone remembers that this is fiction and does not exist in real life and if something like this were to happen in real life me , you and the same readers would help the victim. Just bcz we watch murder movies or horror films doesn't mean we'll do or like it in real life this is similar
Cause it's fake? I'm literally aro/ace so I don't take part in sexual things in real life, but fake scenarios in art are a lot less painful than real life imo
first it is fiction. second, i dont know about others but i really like dark story. murder, suicide, rape, torture, whatever heavy out there but i really really hate it when they start to romantize it. it is wrong and it should be acknowledged.
it seems to be a frequent point of criticism and complaints, so i wouldn't say that it's uniformly accepted on this site. there's a range of opinions. but given the prevalence of rape in bl, people will often tolerate it to some degree otherwise the selection of stuff to read will be quite limited. part of why i'm on this site in the first place is to scope out things so i can avoid materially supporting stories with rape handled poorly. personally, it's all about why it's included and how it's executed within a story. i'll read stuff and criticize whatever prompts criticism.
