It is Poly because the two fully knowledge eachother and consent to the guy to date both. Sorry your comments makes me think you don't think this is poly so I want to reply... sorry if like you mean more to "why aren't there more of poly??".so..
Relationships like this exist in real life, and its not just a fictional thing ^^" a person can date multiple people and everyone should be fine/comfortable with it so it doesnt become awkward
Why are authors so afraid of poly relationships?!? Dating 2 different ppl while having sex with both at Sametime and constantly hanging out seems so exhausting and awkward.
