Ngl to me I dont feel pity it's more like understanding as why she thinks the way she thinks and the manipulation of several generations and the way the nobles around them just go oh yeah thats so and so like damn alright they killin all their kids

I know it’s weird but I do actually feel bad for the empress when you see her childhood. Basically was manipulated and grew up in an awful environment… and many of us should know if we grow up in a toxic environment with no one there to guide us properly we turn out awful. She has no one. She did what she THOUGHT was best so he wouldn’t have to go through what she did. Was it wrong? Yeah.. definitely. But we wouldn’t have this drama if she did have a good childhood haha.
