Guys he didn't rape him the chapter was meant to compare how although Aaron still loves Yujin he doesn't have the same softness from a year ago. Yujin is afraid of rejection or atleast being treated differently because of how his Father is. Aaron still loves him just as much if not more, but how he's expressing that is different because it hurt him that Yujin left, he opened up his heart and then Yujin ran away; he's scared of Yujin leaving again and maybe he thinks if he acts soft that's why he'll go. But really Yujin wants to go because of the lack of softness

I agree with some of what you said and what the purpose
Of the scene was but also It was definitely dubious consent

SAing someone who's unconscious and never expressed a liking for it (and even so, the liking should be reinforced before any action is taken) can still be considered rape even if there's no penetration happening. And he certainly didn't consent to being entered after waking up, he was scared of his demeanor all throughout the assault and seemed quite miserable afterward while trying to cover himself with the sheets. That's not how someone who enjoyed it behaves.

As for Aaron, I still find him obsessive and the act was purely carnal without any feelings, just to reclaim him, with some hint of regret only after seeing Yujin's state.
Nobody who actually loves a person will do any of this to them. Please, don't romanticize any of this, there were many other ways for this reunion to go without resorting to this outcome.

I get the intention to highlight the difference, but it didn't have to go this way.

    Yes and no.
Based on their previous behavior, no I wouldn’t call it rape. Because Yu has risen to the occasion no matter what Aaron has thrown at him. so per their own established pattern, it would be a rough but fun Tuesday for them a year ago.

But it’s not a year ago. So, that was technically rape. Dude is chained to a bed, he can’t exactly get away. It was framed as a “whether you want to or not it’s gonna happen” situation. We can use softer words like coercion or dubcon but that’s still rape.

Doesn’t mean you can’t still root for them. Or feel conflicted.

I do believe Yu pulled away not because of rough sex but because of the lack of softness. He felt the difference in how Aaron handled him, and it made him feel bad. He’s guilty. He realizes he really did hurt him and he does not handle guilt/rejection/feelings well.

    Just my 25 cents.

"guys aaron didn't raped yujin, he just hunted him down for a year, chained him up, had sex with when he said no, and refused to let him go
