Did Ryu Ian's hyung escape from him that you're comparing him with Aaron ? Their circumstances are different. And why the hell would Aaron be cute about all this ? It's already been a year and can't you see his state ? Who tf becomes cute while suffering for this long time ? He's even ready to spend his lifetime searching for him and on the other hand Ryu Ian didn't even have a chance with Baek Eunsan until he heard the divorce news. Don't start comparing out of no where.

Bro, ryu yearning for eusan had been going on since they were in highschool. So him being divorced or not as well as having no chance does not make him any less of a yearner.
You can clearly see that Aaron had always been obsessed with yujin, but he was keeping it lowkey so yujin didn’t run away. But now that yujin did the big bad, he’s showing his true colours without any remorse.
And I can tell he will def lock yujin up and trap
him when he finds him. And I hope and pray he doesn’t do worse.

I didn't talk about yearning. I just told the previous person not to compare them. The circumstances are very different here.

Being fixated over a person's singing voice enough for you to hunt them down, get them into a contract and a physical relationship, develop feelings along the way and then look everywhere for them the moment they take off, that seems like obsession to me. I may be wrong about the plot, I haven't reread this so I'm going off of memory.
Meanwhile, Ian basically fell for Eunsan at first sight, gave it his all to get gud in hockey to get his attention AND a signed puck? that Eunsan even forgot about, literally permanently tattooed Eunsan's name on himself, everything without bothering Eunsan once, all on his own until he actively started pursuing him when he saw a chance.

The difference between the two, that I'm trying to highlight, is the difference in starting point and outcome. Obsession is more imposing on the object of obsession, while yearning is tendentially more one-sided.
If you want one more difference, Eunsan always had the choice to refuse Ian, but Yujin had to run away to leave. Whether running away was the right choice or not doesn't matter in this argument, nor was it a turning point in Aaron's obsession.

The difference between Aaron and Ian in terms of "what ifs" I feel lies in "respect". Ian seems to strongly respect Eunsan as a person, while it feels Aaron wants to possess Yujin.
I can't in all honesty see Ian honestly locking Eunsan away due to anger or possessivity. He respects him too much to do that. I can't say Aaron would do the same, as far as I remember he was always a bit controlling of Yujin. There was certainly a reason why I thought "hunter" was a perfect name for the character

Ryu Ian kinda worships Eunsan from afar and Aaron loved him , stayed with him , lived with him , their lives were connected , they started becoming eachother part of their lives and now he misses Yujin's presence. It's been a year. A year is a long time. Anyone's feelings can change into hard and soft in this time.

Don't straight up bring locking , obsession , forcing etc when it has not even happened.

Cozy and devoted obsession exists too instead of violent one.

And when you said you compared only behaviour not circumstances , you're making mistakes there.

People behave exactly according to their circumstances.

I never talked as if he's surely gonna lock him up, don't read between the lines of what I say, no need to do that with me.
I'm basing my judgement in the current events of the stories, how their personality has been portrayed so far, what's the genre of the story and the relationship between the characters.
And I did say I haven't reread the story, I'm pretty sure it's been at least half an year since this story updated, my memory is not without faults.

From my experience as a BL reader, Aaron is more forceful in personality than he lets on to Yujin. Be it due to the genre, art style, adult themes, stereotypes even, a personality like Aaron Hunter's has a higher chance of doing something toxic than a character like Ryu Ian's, who's been portrayed as communicative and open, in a story that isn't as dark or serious.
I'm not saying Aaron doesn't love Yujin. I'm saying that based in the personality that I remember and my experience with yaoi writing, there's a high chance he might lock up Yujin at least once and for a while.

And with circumstances I mean the story's plot and the characters' backstories, none of which I've really brought up if not to explain that the circumstances are not the main reason why I think

I agree that these two stories and characters are different at their core. I brought up Ian since he's a true yearner through and through in my mind
But it's exactly cuz of their difference that I can't see Ian going toxic, while I can see Hunter going toxic. I'd like to underline that I used terms like "might" and "can", and no "will". I'm speaking probability here, no certainty. And it's based on the story's atmosphere as a whole, not just on plot or potential personality twists that might happen
I DON'T want Hunter to lock up Yujin, just to be clear.

Korea takes their celebrity allegations very seriously, there’s been many famous
IRL actors and idols who had to quit or who have also died from having drug related allegations. So I kinda see why he’s so stressed
