The angst is only for Xinlu, because that’s the scene I’ve been waiting for

Xinlu wanted Yuri to renew his employment contract for life, but Yuri refused because he believed it wouldn’t be a good choice for Xinlu. Yuri was aware of his own capabilities and worried that he might hold Xinlu back, so he suggested that not make the contract last a lifetime.
After that conversation, Xinlu became cold toward Yuri. They barely talked, and whenever they did, it was only when necessary, with nothing more than a few brief words exchanged.
Yuri then called Xinlu’s older brother and asked him to start looking for a suitable candidate to replace him as Xinlu’s assistant. When Xinlu found out, he immediately got angry with both his brother and Yuri.
He confronted Yuri, saying something along the lines of, “I’m ignoring you and getting angry with you, but you don’t even care? Because you want to leave, right?! So no matter what happens, you still don’t care, do you?!”
Yuri explained that it wasn’t like that. Xinlu then asked him if he truly loved him, and Yuri honestly admitted that he did.
Yuri also told Xinlu that, if Xinlu allowed it, he would still contact him, whether on his birthday, on New Year’s, or even for no particular reason.
But instead of comforting Xinlu, Yuri’s words only made him angrier.
“Keep that bland, tasteless grass to yourself. I don’t need it. No, just burn all that fucking grass." (Which is funny because back in chapter 46, Xinlu said he liked the way Yuri loved him. But here, it’s obvious that he doesn’t want Yuri to love him so calmly and quietly. )
And so, Xinlu kept obsessing over Yuri’s expiring contract. He couldn’t eat or sleep, spending 23 hours of every day thinking about Yuri. During those sleepless nights, he gradually came to understand his own feelings. Yuri had asked him whether he actually liked him or not, because Xinlu kept insisting on a lifetime contract. If Xinlu only wanted the contract because Yuri loved him, Yuri wouldn’t agree to it.
After several days of struggling with his feelings, Xinlu finally reached his breaking point and let everything out because he was overwhelmed by how badly he yearned for Yuri and could no longer hold it in.
