Nope, I still don't agree with you. You're talking about how toxic their relationship was from the beginning, and I'm not denying that. But how does any of that justify rape? Yujin love-bombing Aaron, disappearing for a year, struggling with his own issues, or running away instead of communicating properly doesn't make him responsible for Aaron's decision to sexually assault him.
You can be toxic, possessive, jealous, emotionally unstable, or have a deeply dysfunctional relationship without raping your partner. These are two entirely different things. And the argument that this was bound to happen because of Yujin's actions is precisely what I disagree with. Aaron is responsible for his own actions, just as Yujin is responsible for his. You can acknowledge Yujin's flaws without using them to shift responsibility for Aaron's sexual violence onto him.
And at the end of the day, this was the author's choice. The author had hundreds of ways to take the story forward, but they deliberately chose to make rape part of it. That's what people seem to be missing here. We're discussing fictional characters whose actions are written by an author, so we can absolutely question why the author chose to take the story in that direction. It wasn't inevitable just because their relationship was toxic. The author could have explored their communication issues, insecurities, obsession, and emotional conflicts in so many other ways without resorting to sexual assault.
What bothers me is when people use Yujin's actions to explain why Aaron's behaviour was inevitable, as though rape were simply a natural consequence of their relationship. It wasn't inevitable. It was a narrative choice the author made. And readers are allowed to question that choice instead of treating it as something that had to happen because the characters were toxic.
You can acknowledge that both characters are flawed and appreciate the complexity of their relationship without justifying rape or pretending that the victim's behaviour somehow makes the assault understandable. A toxic relationship doesn't automatically lead to rape, and being toxic doesn't make someone deserve to be raped. The author chose to write the rape; Yujin's flaws didn't make that choice inevitable, and they certainly don't justify it.

Comment section is making me wonder if y'all actually read the story or pay attention to the characters instead of pushing the "best sex scenes" agenda. Flashlight isn't your average, simple manhwa. There's actual depth and complexity with realness in it.
Literally the first time they did it they were doing GUN play, it was fucked up since the beginning, neither of them are green flags.
Idk how someone in the comments thought he'd get Stockholm syndrome...Mind u Yujin already likes Aaron a lot but he love-bombed Aaron then disappeared off the face of the Earth for a whole year. This shit was bound to happen because of Yujin's actions. I get that Yujin has dark secrets he doesn't want to tell but he really likes Aaron and with how much Yujin is struggling, he needs to seriously talk to someone. Not saying I justify Aaron's current actions, but how Yujin played it was not the way to go and it makes sense why Aaron is acting like this.
What pmo is when a commentor said their love was perfect...Like bruh, I hope yall realize it was toxic since the very beginning, with no clear boundaries or communication. They were on and off like a FLASHLIGHT. Yujin keeps running away when staying matters most (I understand it's his response to high levels of stress) yet it genuinely pisses me off every time. I absolutely love the complexity of Yujin's character but it's so frustrating at the same time because he truly deserves to have a life where he's in a secure relationship or maybe just secure of himself while facing his problems instead of running. His dad needs to fuck off though.
