so i just finished binge reading this, and this is the first time ive read + with the knowledge of what would happen to yunin, so it might be a skewed take.

I completely understand how aaron would turn out the way he is because from the very beginning, it’s already shown that he’s incapable of handling/feeling emotions like a normal person; aka he’s like a sociopath or psychopath (im using these terms loosely.) He knows (and WE KNOW) he loves Yujin, but his love is obsessive to the point of seeing Yujin is as like an equivalent to a toy he can’t get—so there’s definitely an abnormality in his expression of love.

And like, I get the point that people don’t wanna see the rape shit and stuff (bcs there’s too much of that in BL), but I mean did we read the same story LMAOO—like you could not have expected this man to go any other route than this one when it’s been hinted all throughout the story. Their whole schtick revolves ,almost majority of the time, around sex—I could not for the life of me skip some scenes because there’s pieces of dialogue in between them that I believe is integral to their character. So like i’m not too entirely shocked about the confinement arc, maybe im incredibly desensitized.

Anyways, I do wish this season had gone another way other than this route—I think it would be better to see the arc in another way so that there’s like a variety, or a deeper sense of obsession/emotion that Aaron would portray so that Yujin would never escape his grasp. Resorting to the typical confinement-rape scene is just so overused atp, but I do see it as an inevitable event since just like I said, the majority of their schtick revolves around sex

I forgot to add, but I feel like this progression was pretty clear from the start, rather than Roses and Champagne—but maybe it’s because I haven’t reread that story in so long that I was pretty shocked by the 180 of the events happening there.
