Might be dropping this

I'm at chapter 21. But I got impatient and jumped a few chapters. And to be frank, I'm not a fan of this pacing. The story itself is surely a little intriguing, but the slow burn doesn't hit as hard and I got bored. The same thing kept dragging on, like beating around the bush. I could also predict most of the things from the first few chapters. MC is also pretty slow despite having shown potential in the beginning. I tend to get attached to my main characters pretty easily. But unexpectedly, this wasn't the case here. My heart does hurt for all he has suffered, but he didn't particularly grasp my heart. The only thing I'm curious about at this point, are details of their past life that hasn't been confirmed yet.
