My heart dropped when I read that cheeky "The end" thing on chapter 41, I swear I was about to lose my mind if it ended there. I personally think the ending is a bit rushed, and I don't think the story has explored Won and the MC's backstory more.
1. Won's mother should've been explored more, and the Grand old preceptor or something shouldn't have ended that easily, he could've lasted a few more arcs and the revenge should've been more satisfying.
2. MC's family should've had more spotlight and I think the part where he finally went back home was the perfect opportunity, we only had glimpse of his family but that's it.
3. Trauma shouldn't heal that quickly, even if MC remembered his memories... I feel like this should've atleast had two arcs of healing instead of the rushed "I forgive you" epilogue. We all know that MC is very emphatic, and that he couldn't even hurt the ML, what more if he realized that ML was that precious childhood friend? But I don't get why MC forgave the ML that easily over remembering that they once met and sympathizing with the ML's condition and past... Mind you he just recovered from stabbing himself so he could escape the emperor. It would've been nice if the revolt wasn't sudden and was brewing underneath or in the background of the story more as we spend one arc of the emperor trying to earn forgiveness whilst cleaning up his mess on the kingdom and making the kingdom better.
I 100% think the story could've ended much better if it had a bit more chapters, there were solid antagonists, a mystery, and a looming but conflicting threat that is called the emperor.
Also what happened to be supposed to be wife of Won? The girl who was going to marry the ML, that whole thing should've also been explored on. Better yet, we actually meet the girl. Also what happened to cute servant Dan???
This story had potential if it wasn't too rushed, the ending left alot of plot holes and mystery unanswered, which was dissapointing. Still, this was an interesting read, but I realized that I don't like sitting through morally questionable smut scenes if it's going to be easily forgiven just like that.
