Rereading this so many times, and I still agree with Kamitani's dad that Taka is really spoilt; multiple instances have proven this, but the running-away stint could have been really bad. Being hit by a car, kidnapped, or worse. The mom really needs to disciple/punish him more. I know he's small, so some things can't be helped but he needs to understand from now on that actions have consequences.
