Once again! Feminism is in the ending, not the start. Her falling for a guy who tricked a coerced her is not good, obviously. But people were complaining more about the plot line and I think that the actual story outside of that was resolved in a good way.
Feminism in women being free to revel in their desires!
Don't think I'm promoting coercive men who use their power to trick women. Especially not his weird power complex where he wants to get revenge and does so sexually. That's creepy.
The only feminist thing about that is this was written by a woman and that could be her fantasy that she's safely engaging with through fiction.

Nah, this is getting too much hate. The art is pretty (minus the insane proportions but you can't win 'em all) and lowkey the ending was a win for feminism. Like okay yes reveal the lies of a divine order that punishes women for that which men are permitted. I loved the uprising of women accepting the reality of their wants and that they should not be shamed for something like desire.
The ending was sweet.
Obviously the consent at the beginning is dubious at best, but she fell for him and made her choice and was very happy. It's not some amazing work to write home about, but it is not nearly as bad as the comments suggest.
Especially because it very much showed how fucked up the society was that a father would say he regretted having a daughter simply because rumors spread. That a husband could go fuck around and order his wife to stay home or attend him and that's all. Having the crown prince usurped for abusing a woman is great. A simplistic resolution but a nice fantasy.
