you know that advice for writers that’s like “show don’t tell”…. this mangaka was doing a lot of telling but not a lot of showing. Which is fine, if the goal is to write smut (which seems to be the main goal here), but there did seem to be at least some kind of attempt to give background or depth to the characters to explain their actions, it just didn’t pay off.
