If investment fails, he gets 90% cash spent or if investment wins, he only gets 2% (exact numbers could be wrong). But he's not allowed to intentionally fail it. So our dear mc is doing his absolute best to make the best unconventional games that people will possibly not like but high quality since the budget is high. Then the game somehow gets viral so ultimately, investment always succeeds.
