The best way I can put it is this: Yeomin wanted to live his own life, working hard, being accepted for who he is, making something of his own. Then his possessive sex-partner takes over his life, making all his hard work and effort seem like it was for nothing and was rather wasted. He also thought he was in a relationship with someone who mutually respected him. Found out that nope, that wasn't true. Instead of hearing Yeomin out, his possessive sex partner kidnapped him, trapped him in the house, refused to allowed him to see his friends, get his education or be independent by working for himself - all things he wants to do.
Would you not run away if you were being controlled so thoroughly by someone who just throws money at problems to get what they want without taking your thoughts and feelings into consideration???

Yea he basically ruined his life. I think he would rather keep running from loan sharks than be someone who survives based on relying on someone else. It is awful because he worked so hard his entire life only to have all of that hard work thrown in the trash because of some egocentric dck bag with no desire to understand anyone outside of himself. He could have been there loving and supporting him, that is all MC needed. He never asked for his money and he was ready to move out and get it own place. He wanted nothing from him but just a loving relationship and that was the one thing ML could not give him. That is what I hate about characters like the ML, their written to believe on money matters, but money means nothing when you have it in abundance, it doesn't take anything from you. What the MC always wants is love and care from someone who prioritizes and sees them, but they are virtually incapable of any emotional connection which is literally free. One of the only stories that I know where a CEO character is done write in Everyone's Darling. He loves and supports her from the background and never interferes in her life. He focuses on being there to back her up and getting rid of pesky ants. He also never forces any physical intimacy with the MC. I've never seen it in a single Yaoi, but that would require a Yaoi it not be a cliche mess, and we know we can never have that.
Their issues could have been managed by talking seriously. But both are hard headed.
