Wtf is this (ch 14 ruined this for me tbh)

So far, this has progressed too quickly for me (not my taste at all) and yet it was interesting enough to keep me reading. 14 chapters in and the ML went from kinda annoying and pushy (can he stop with the constant background checks for a second and like, let shit unfold naturally? Yeah, that's his job, and he's super into the gorgeous MC and whatever, but he doesn't let ANY bond happen that way, no patience and trust so the MC can open up to him on his own) to straight up aggressively possessive in a super nasty way and managed to piss me off quickly. Bitch, you JUST came into this man's life, wtf do you want? Who are you to claim anyone? Also, as someone who should be observant and experienced, who has knowledge about people as protecting and analyzing people is part of his job, his conclusion as he sensed all the aggressive pheromones the MC was drenched in was that he... Wanted it? That he somehow was at fault for the lack of control OF OTHER alphas, and not only that, had a bodily reaction he COULDN'T help? He was mad at the MC' ass leaking while that happened against his will? So he got all aggressive and physically abusive over that?? Victim blaming much? Fuck that ML, he can go straight to the bin.

The MC doesn't make much sense either - lets this alpha stranger who's super suspiciously pushy into his home, lets him fuck him (even though he's afraid of letting pheromones leak), lets him push him to spread his pheromones despite the fact that's part of his trauma and he works so hard to suppress them, and takes the blame as he retaliated after the ML attacked him first (tbh I love seeing a super powerful omega and gosh, how satisfying it would be to see him use that power to bend rapey, nasty alphas so MC, HAVE A BACKBONE!!). Omegaverse authors can get lazy with the pheromone compatibility as a plot device that lets characters progress their relationships in ways that are out of character for them and at a very unnatural pace. That's exactly what happened here and it's annoying. There's no organic approach, mysterious push and pull, an exciting phase of getting to know each other all veiled behind lust of tempting pheromones, not strong enough to overcome the trauma, the fears, and uncertainty... Instead, we get - pheromones just settle all the trauma, all the fears, they push them aside so we can see them fuck quickly. So far, this hasn't been a very convincing story.
