The way I started reading this thinking you were talking about like three other stories kinda sets the point.
But while a story like that is really refreshing, the problem would be finding ways to keep tension and readers interest, otherwise it could only amount to a short story at best. Romance is simply once of the easiest ways to do that without completely changing the genre.
That said, I personally would happily read a story like what you're searching for. I just understand why a lot of people don't.
True that, since FMC stories usually gravitated towards romance. It's easier to find non romantic works with MMC rather than FMC as well.
Don’t get me wrong, finding love again after a shitty marriage is great, but does EVERY divorced FL have to end up with another man to get her happy ending?! GIRL, CAN YOU BREATHE FIRST??? Why can’t she just enjoy her freedom, pursue her dreams, travel, make money, and live peacefully without romance being shoved into the plot?! I JUST finished a manhwa where the FL wanted nothing more than to live a quiet life with her maid after divorcing her trash ex-husband, BUT OF COURSE, a new man had to come along and ruin everything. AND NEITHER MALE LEAD IS EVEN WORTH ROOTING FOR??? WHY DOES SHE HAVE TO FALL FOR ONE OF THESE UNDESERVING A-HOLES?! I’m so tired of stories acting like escaping a miserable marriage is just the first step toward finding a better man. WHAT ABOUT HER FREEDOM? HER DREAMS? HER PEACE?! LET HER OPEN A LITTLE SHOP, MOVE TO THE COUNTRYSIDE, TRAVEL WITH HER FRIENDS, AND ENJOY HER MONEY WITHOUT DEALING WITH SOME MAN’S FEELINGS OR DRAMA. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LET HER STAY SINGLE AT THE END!!! Romance is great when it’s good, but I want to see a divorced FL whose character development isn’t centered around a man.
