Ngl I stopped reading it after like 20 chapters where Amber kept hurting himself to guilt trip the older guy. I can't stomach it when someone uses selfharm as a way to coerce something from others. ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

My ex of 3 month threatened me with suicide over 3 times and made me feel like shit all the while stalking me and harassing me online through his friend's discord accounts for 3 month, blamed me for his alcoholism, for getting sent to hospital for his health worsening, everything. It made me feel like shit and I still have issues because of that.
(I broke up with him because he was too obsessed with me and was getting sick trying to accomodate me which I asked him to stop but he didn't listen, so I ended it before if went worse...or I hoped so but he blew up and went ballistic on me)

So I really hate it when it's used as a plot for romance.

Idk, I guess as someone who's been through self-harm. He did try to hide it, and didn't use it as an excuse to keep him tied down. Not initially. I think people do get to a point though where they break. It's not a good thing, but it is human. Especially when both of them have so much trauma. Ash wanted to solve it together. I mean thinking about it Tennessee was a lonely person who didn't believe he could be loved, let alone what that felt like. I can't say they're perfect but I think their puzzle pieces fit each other's.

Your ex was insane though, on another level, you should not have had to go through that.
