Is it just me, or do you also lose interest in a story when the plot starts shifting toward the MC finding love? Don’t get me wrong, I love romance, but I hate it when I’m reading a really good story and getting so invested in the MC because they’re achieving their goals, winning fights, getting revenge, or building the life they’ve always wanted, and then boom! A love interest suddenly appears, and the whole story starts revolving around romance. Like, please, I was so invested in the MC’s journey, and now the momentum is gone. Why does finding love suddenly have to become the main goal when there are still so many other things to explore? Sometimes, I just want to see the MC keep thriving, achieving their dreams, and living their best life without romance taking over the plot.
