I'm not as anxious with this volume as the others with the issues, but there is still the problem of communication; Hikaru hasn't told Shinobu anything, and Shinobu notices but doesn't ask what's bothering him. They don't seem to understand each other well, despite all they've been through. Hikaru should know Shinobu won't react as emotionally as he thinks, and Shinobu should know that Hikaru would appreciate being able to feel comfortable with expressing his feelings rather than leaving it alone. Then you have King out there being one of the few positive father/older brother figures in a BL, but he's also overprotective. I do regret the fact that emotionally-speaking, King feels almost a better fit for Hikaru as an emotional partner.
