Also I live for how this story talks about misogyny! The worst thing stories like this have done was villianizing feminity and putting women against each other when in reality the problem the societies in these stories have stems from misogyny and the gender binary! Anais isn't stupid bc she is a women raised in nobility, she was merely reacting how nobles would! Being the clueless and naive noble was always put down as a negative trait in so many of these stories specifically when it's a women exhibiting it when in reality those traits also have it's positives, simply discarding for storytelling
I love that they are actually slowly recognizing that blindly following a dragon's word js bc he is a dragon ignoring the bloodshed that was caused by it is wrong,
The story moves in a good pace, the characters are strong and written very firmly, you feel like you truly understand why a character behaved as they are. While I do wish they address the amount of privilege anais have, I think it'll be discussed soon enough with how good the writing have been so far. Looking forward to more of this!!!!
