Those who read the novels, idk what you guys are talking about when you say “not believable” like, wdym, their relationship? character development? love? Because expecting for a lovey dovey ending for this type of manhwa is kinda delulu. There’s no character development in the novels. What character development are you expecting from a psychopath? Ilay doesn’t change, he and Tay will just reach a compromise. And yes, they will fall in love, Tay will even confess. BUT their definition of love is questionable bc… do i even have to explain? Trust will build where Tay will have freedom, but he still has to call Ilay to tell him where he is. They will choose to stay and live together and settle for a relationship like that. This manhwa is fueled with rape, red flags, toxic relationships, psychopaths, sexual abuse, etc. ofc the ending will never be satisfying bc how do you convince people that Ilay and Taeui do love each other when their past is full of just rape and abuse? I’ll settle on just calling it Stockholm Syndrome. It doesn’t seem like a happy ending for sure, but that’s the happy ending that the characters will get bc Ilay cant let go of Tay while Tay doesn’t regret it and would still walk beside Ilay.
