I don't really have any advice to be able to recover the money, apologies for that. But I'd encourage you to make like posts on your social media sites, especially if there exists these community groups. Make the post as a sort of 'what happened' and a warning post of sort. Not giving you a 100% assurance but at times, posts do tend to get a reach and there might be few individuals that could help you out But again, that's just a possibility but doesn't hurt to try.
And this is a very heartbreaking situation, but i do hope you don't blame yourself, I'm sure with time you guys will be able to figure this out, and if you do feel like helping out, maybe try cutting costs on something that's actually possible, maybe like cutting costs on treats for the month or maybe like walking to save on the bus fares(only if it's possible tho, i hope you don't harm yourself with this).
Take care<3
feel like ur from PH lol. Have you tried emailing BSP? They handle all sorts of money related things. They may not respond as quickly but some people go directly to them for help when it comes to situations like this. Just make sure to be as detailed and transparent as possible of the situation. I personally have not encountered the same prob as u are in rn, but i've read situations online how they're able to get back the money they lost may it be due to transaction error or unauthorized transactions getting help from BSP.
i am, haha, damn this godforsaken country. so much for being a country of Christ. im actually planning on going there tomorrow, Manila is a bit treacherous for me to commute since im bedridden, so i think ill go at dawn.
im honestly so tired, though thank u for ur help and i hope we get the hell out of this hellhole.
thank u, honestly just being able to talk about it is a great help alr. my friends just brush it off bc they felt like i was bragging about having that amount of money. :( even as i am writing this, i dont have a clear idea of what happened or how the money was actually taken, so writing about it and having someone to talk to is already a big help. fortunately, i did have harmful thoughts but i worry about my mother more at the moment, so im fine.
I dont think u have to go personally. Ppl usually just email them and they eventually get a reply, not sure how fast tho. But if ur set on going onsite, make sure to bring necessary documents like government ids (ur mother's and urs), authorization letter with signature and thumb mark of ur mom stating that u'll be managing this in place of ur mother if she cant come, bank statement, screnshots if needed, etc. which all must be printed.
Hoping for the best!
did your mom perhaps answered some unknown caller and clicked an unidentified website sent to her? because ik for sure those scam shits starts with that. last year my mom got her money stolen from her bank acc, too, because of that reason and it was worth 6k, damn. i feel bad for you and your mom, but sadly, i don't think the money will ever come back. i advice that you permanently closed your mom's bank acc and never ever use it again, 'cuz they might have an access on it now. also don't link the bank acc to any apps as much as possible, because it tends to auto deduct money on it if you are subscribed in any apps you're using.

hi, this is non-manga related.
my mother recently got scammed out of 27k of her money on digital apps. it was linked to both a shopping app & a bank transfer. it's so hard trying to fix the mess; i'm only a teenager myself, but i spent today calling every single company that was related/mentioned in the incident to try to ask for a way to get the money back. nobody cares; they would rather lose a single customer than spend time trying to resolve it. i have no one to talk to, my relatives are far more clueless in this than i am, im the only person who got to college in my family.
i know this isn't the place for it, but i really have no one to talk to. i can't even try to run away and forget about it by reading because i just keep remembering that the money we lost would have to be spent on my brother's tuition. now it is gone, and he'd need to stop his next semester.
it's so hopeless. this country is so kind to people who did wrong; they do nothing about it unless you have the money to pay them to do something. and while some say that it happens because not many of them are in the world anyway, what about those who suffered because of them?
i don't know what to do anymore. maybe i'd just sell my organs or my body, i don't know. i'm so lost.
