Sisyphus from the mythology cheated death and was given an eternal punishment by hades to push a massive boulder up a mountain over and over again. I think later we will come to discover whether sisyphus is an analogy for ml or mc depending on who’s the first one that cheated death but rn im leaning towards ml as sisyphus since he technically has his “hounds” in the story
Sisyphus is a titan in greek mythology doomed to roll a boulder up a mountain day after day for eternity, when he reaches the peak the boulder rolls down and the task starts over.
A sisyphean task seems endless without progress like Jinwoo and Guwons fates to relive the same loop without death.

I thought the opposite... To me, MC is Sisyphus, and the Hound is the ML, since he'll follow him through death and back to life again and again.
Oh, and I'm pretty sure the ML is the one "cheating" death because of the phrase he said "Give me one more chance..." He's the one asking for it, while the MC somehow just "remembered" that there was a loop.
Right that makes sense and could be a possibility for sure
