I hate to break it to you but so many popular yaoi (at least here) is either rape/sexual abusive or stockholm syndrome slop and its almost always been like that so I doubt it has anything to do with age (tho Im glad to be proven wrong). I swear I stumbled a wholesome healthy yaoi a while back and so many people called it mid in the comments

can we all give this a 1-star rating so younger fujoshis are less likely to stumble across it i can't prove their ages, but the way some readers keep justifying rape scenes as peak storytelling reminds me of how i used to think at 13–17. i grew out of that mindset.
