Every Guideverse is said that Espers who are about to go berserk or whatever need the highest form of “guiding,” so of course there’s going to be people who take advantage of guides. Similar to Omegaverse where Alphas can’t control their instincts. I’ve always thought about how there would probably be more scenes in Guideverse with espers taking advantage of guides but so far I haven’t really seen any taking that approach besides between a MCxML. Is it messed up? Of course! Do I like it? No. But, in this kinda world it would unfortunately be normal. Definitely feel awful for MC. But, he’s a very strong character mentally and surprisingly physically. Still sad though. Hate seeing characters go through that but I think the writing was still amazing. I think most people just don’t like that it was shown instead of hinted. Cause yeah it’s more messed up to actually see. :(
Plus! The way they handled the scenes where guiding was a last resort and the other person was in a daze due to their condition being so bad, again in my book, realistic. That would definitely happen in this universe probably way too much. The way the characters are written with empathy for having to do that to the other person without proper consent was good and rare. They even dwell on it after the fact!
Anyways yeah, if you can get past the messed up part I really really liked this series! But I used to not be able to get past that stuff or think of it from this kinda perspective so I get why others don’t.
(P.S. no idea what the person under me is talking about with the sex scenes being unnecessary; they had reasons for every single one. Unlike most smut like come on)
