I just never understood how Eui Hyeon, who raised his brother literally, could ultimately be rejected by the same brother. Like my heart hurt reading the novel and reading this like the absolute one-sided relationship this poor guy's been in, all his life, practically. Not even his brother could extend unconditional love.
Though, I did like that the brother issue never resolved itself in the end. He never showed up but Eui Hyeon learned to move on and see that there were other people willing to showup for him. The author is great at this, because the angst's is ANGSTING.
