This is not your typical toxic bl, infact this is not even bl at all (in the typical sense or in any sense if you ask me). This is a pure pyschological torture meant to showjust how destructive human hubris is.
Just so you know, someone actually read this novel and gave a summary and spoiler and even though they omitted a lot of nitty gritty stuff, it is very graphic. So if you are of someone faint hearted or get triggered, just avoid this story. This story goes beyond making someone angry, it actually gives you chills and makes you scared.
This story at its core explains how abuse within a familiar relation began. Its a story of control, abuse and mental trickery. Haeyoung wants to control every aspect of Haewon and he sees Haewon as his property and someone who should always obey him (He's also mentally fucked up) and Taegyom and Hyunwoo were the one who took advantage of Haewon's situation and it's the Taegyom who blackmailed Haewon and started all of this sordid affair. Haeyoung was ticked off that Haewon got out of his control and chose to abuse the hell out of Haewon and even let those two bastards to join in on the fun. His intent is to break Haewon mentally, physically and spiritually and he succeeded and as for the two bastarss, they had their fun and left to tend their own lives. This story explores just how the Haewon's friends pounce on him, showing their true colors, exposing their nature and abandoning their morals and engage as a group. It reminds me of that famous exhibit by an artist who allowed anyone to do what they want to her. At first its just a friendly poke soon turned into full on assault where the people pushed her and tore her dress (dw its part of social exhibit, but the same plays out in many people's lives and they do not end well). The characters were waiting who'll cross the line and once the boundary is crossed, all is fair game to them
From the first guy who threatened Haweon into sleeping to the second guy who abused and tormented him in various mind breaking ways to the third guy who not only stood by as they abused him but also instead of helping Haewon, he himself jumped in and had his way. Its a dark twisted and graphic exploration of the horror committed by the persons who Haewon thought was his friends add that to the fact that he has no support and is dependant on them (he's broke) makes this even more dark. People who are often stuck in this horror and unable to escape is because they are usually are dependant and they have no leverage and those guys knew about it and they used it to their advantage
And for people who came from tiktok or one those shitty bl fan accounts who recommended this manhwa using phonk or love music and sensualizing the images of what is truly a horror story, beware and stay away if you are not prepared to read it
If you are still want to read out of curiosity, then for your own sanity, I'll suggest you to read upto ch 36 and walk away. It's a fantasic story but I dont recommend reading it unless you are mentally strong and is able to seperate yourself from fiction from the reality
