I suddenly thought of this theory on the twins’ luck randomly.
HEAR ME OUT, I THINK Jae’s luck (that he got from Tae) is probably what’s keeping Tae alive. just as Jae was alive because of Tae, Tae was probably alive because of Jae, too. I don't think it's a one-way thing.
I’m saying that Tae is what kept Jae alive and so the luck does its thing where in order for Jae to be alive and well, Jae’s luck prevented Tae’s death in the cases where Tae should have died.
Just a reminder though, Tae is Jae’s gilsangcheon (source of Jae’s insane luck/ lucky charm) right? And Jae wasn’t even supposed to be alive if it wasnt for Tae. If I remember correctly Jae said he whenever He has a health checkup it always showhow his organs are on the verge of collapse/death (It’s very very weak) or sth but he’s not sick or anything.
Jae concludes that Tae is his life source since Jae would always get twice as sick whenever Tae got sick (doesn’t apply to physically injury) but when Jae gets sick, Tae never got sick with him. Also, Tae always has the urge to find him when sth bad is about to happened to Jae. tho nth really bad ever happened to Jae, Tae still acts as a warning for Jae. Jae is the only one who can receive the luck from Tae even when Tae can't even use that luck for himself.
Tae probably became so unlucky because he was Jae’s source of luck that he always attracts maniacs/Psychopaths even without Jae around. (Xinlu, Ilay, Tae’s ex, Chris, Jeong pill…) and they aren't even normal crazy most of the time, they’re crazy crazy! It would make more sense for Tae to be dead since Tae can tend to be rebellious and stubborn sometimes.
Plus, the amount of time he gets into serious trouble both in the manwha and the novels is insane. Bro got caught up in a power struggle in UNHRDO, got many crazy people obsessed with his ahh, got kidnapped more than I can count, being near people (Ilay, Chris) who’s known for being literally skilled at killing, got caught while running away from Ilay 2 times, almost accidentally got killed by Ilay (Ilay thought Ilay was chasing Jae), got kidnapped and tutored by people who hated Ilay and almost died, got drugged by Tarten people, got stabbed by Horgan, was wanted by the Saudi prince as a debt repayment… Dawg you’re telling me all of that happened and he’s not dead. (I love Tae sm, pls don't die).
Tae should have died long ago, but isn’t it strange how he somehow survived it all? (His charm could be at play tho Hehe(▰˘◡˘▰)) But it makes more sense to me this way.
