I have a theory. What if the esper has accidentally /out of neccesity killed the mc guide before, and he turned back time by years to make it back to a time he could change their future? Like they met for the first time in Ch1 but the guide already had a flashback of a time they were intimate and knew eachother, I don't think esper knows that his ability let's Mc remember stuff yet either, and it adds to my suspicions that they were bonded in a future timeline and that's wh, they have such a high match rate this time and why mc can remember time being turned back and remember glimpses of their other timeline.
