ML has some trauma. He's getting better by building his self esteem little by little. I think if he were bubbly he'd be a sociopath.
Technically he is a sociopath already; if he were bubbly, he'd be a psychopath. And yeah, I figured he had trauma based on his thoughts...it's just really hard to engage with him. Good to hear he's getting better. I'll await the rest of the officials.
I know you can't penalize someone for their thoughts, but this seems more than simply intrusive ideas. Does the ML get better, or is this a recurring "comedy" thing where he's homicidal and MC just has to deal with it no matter what? Wanting to matter in the world can't make me like him if he refuses to work on his social skills. Honestly would've been more interested if he came off as more bubbly and had thoughts that contrasted with them.
