That black haired guy tried to drag Gaseok back into despair by guilt tripping him and threatening him to out again. He claimed that he "abandoned his family and his dream job" (load of bs if you ask me), but this character is also representation of unresolved guilt, past and regret. He tried to tie down Gaseok but Gaseok broke away. I expected Gaseok to pummel his face but the manhwa handled it beautifully
After realising that he has Hee seon on his side and is sure that he wont abandon him nor would he judge him, he simply walked away and when that black haired guy piped up again, he simply said "Do whatever you want, I dont care, I was scared and alone, but now I have someone who'll stand beside me strong"
And when Hee seon was spiraling, Gaseom reached out and promised that they'll be together and the world turned from darkness into bright color as their worries and pain cleared up and started dreaming of better lives
