The way Moryeon's mother groomed his delusions holy shit, truly set him up for failure by disguising him as an alpha. Their motivation to become a patriarch is merely to bring everyone to their feet, had this been another series Moryeon would be the villain (and I do suspect the mother is the overarching villain that killed second brother knowing the plant won't kill Moryeon) but thankfully he is our problematic omega protagonist instead. I love when main characters are allowed to be so flawed and nuanced.
I think truly, Moryeon will only start to develop properly once he faces the fact that he does mourn his brother, like he said he doesn't know if he's running away or moving forward (he's running away) and saying he will know once he's the patriarch of the family, god I love how flawed he is. He's too deep on that delusion his mother fueled he knows nothing else but it. I'm so glad Yeju will be the catalyst in his growth, and just as he refuses to face the fact that his brother is dead for no reason, I doubt he will take the truth well as his charade of being an alpha is ultimately what lead to second brother dying.
Hajing walking in on them was so mortifying tho let's see how they get out of this mess! Congrats to Seobun being promoted to POV character I need to know the insight of the others! The way just like Moryeon he notes the benefits of tearing each other down but still being uncomfortable about it is so compelling.
