Baek Sung is like a butler to ML's grandmother. ML was drugged by something that made him pass out. He thought he was getting through his rut by taking medicine. But while passed out he was doing the deed with MC. Since MC has no pheromone smell, ML was nonethewiser. And the thing with Baek Sung and Grandmother is a whole different set of events and spoilers.

Essentially Butler was jealous of ML because Butler was taken in like a son to Grandma, but obviously he is not Grandma's son, so Grandma's actual family take precedence, for inheritance and stuff. So Butler was working on his own when it comes to the MC drug thing. Grandma was in the dark just as much as ML is. It was the butler who was stirring the pot, and ML thought grandma was behind the scenes, and grandma though ML was just independent by nature and was trying to respect him. Grandma is actually quite great, she just trusted the wrong people
I haven’t read the novel but can anyone spoil what the whole gist of the beginning part of the story was. Bc Mc is roped into having this “contract” rut partner by Baek Sung for ml. But who even is Baek Sung and why doesn’t the ml remember what happened to him for the past 4 years.
