I'm sure you some of you guys don't see it but it's pretty obvious from all the flashback scenes we have seen of the crown prince that he is clearly evil, I'm still in chapter 15. The artist did a good job with his facial expressions so it's quite obvious he knows how to be manipulative.
The clearest example is when Freya/ Sia remembers she wasn't allowed by him to receive war blessings from the temple when every other knight did so, he plays the concerned friend and master about them thinking her to be someone to be burnt at the stake for being a woman with no clear background and a scar on her face and something else he points out.
He looked so concerned for her safety and well being that I felt maybe he was a good friend but just look at his face after she finally drops it and agrees never to go the temple, you can't tell me that guy ain't evil.
I can also point out the fact he is out here using chemical warfare (poisonous weeds to create new disease to take out a kingdom from the inside).
