Honestly I hate these stories about kingdoms at war where the female lead is on the side that's against the male lead, it's not about this particular story but it is... pretty terrible to me that the prince she served for most of her life, who doesn't exactly seem evil (Although obviously they'll add a stupid backstory to turn him into an evil monster who wanted to destroy the world for power by stealing Freya's soul). Is going to be left in the dust while the duke gets to have the female knight he longed for, and the original girl of his dreams. I think it would be more interesting for the prince to be a valid romance option in this story because he really hasn't been shown to have done anything that the typical "I've secretly been brainwashed" female leads go through.
Also as a side note in the super recent chapters (Like chapter 22) they reveal that the duke's kingdom can just borrow the power of god? So I don't really think the kingdom is suffering from the one hundred year long war. Anyway I doubt this story will do anything interesting so I'll marinate it until a chapter comes out where she meets up with the prince again.
