I think it’s fair to criticize the huge turn this season has taken. Considering the author themselves said to be prepared for angst and the manhwa itself not having any non con nobody assumed that the plot of the series would be to have yujin be kidnapped, chained up, assaulted, and raped basically having his basic human rights taken away as well as having to be naked the entire time. Aaron couldn’t even be decent enough to provide him clothes bro this is ridiculous. Why is it that every manhwa that is good has to go on and add rape as if it’s an important plot point that is needed when this shit was a banger before? I don’t think it makes any sense for it to take this drastic of a turn, so yeah it is hot garbage rn. I’d rather it have been discontinued than have it continue on to be this ass of a season.

It is non con, maybe it started as dub con with yujin encouraging it but he took that consent away as soon as he said no and that he wanted to go home and not stay there with Aaron anymore. Chapter 69 is literally full of him trying to get Aaron to stop and let him go to which Aaron refuses and continues, then ch 70 shows he’s been subjected to this for a week. It is not consensual bro.

On the topic of it being top shit, the plot was honestly interesting and yeah maybe it was smut filled but at least they were both consenting. Consent vs non con is a big difference, I don’t think it’s a crime for me to be annoyed that it shifted into the non con territory especially when it was so sudden. Yes Aaron is possessive and he’s shown that, but he also would always treat yujin gently and rely on the fact that yujin cares about him in order to make him stay. Based on the first two seasons it would have made more sense for him to be emotionally manipulative and cry in order to get Yujin to feel bad and stay rather than stripping and assaulting him for multiple days. Maybe he still would have chained him up but I don’t think he would have started assaulting him like this. I honestly think he would have tried to make yujin as comfortable as possible with the chain in order to get him to willingly stay (but he still woulda been chained up for a bit).

Also on the hate comments, like I said I think it’s fair to criticize how a story goes. But why tf would I go to the author themselves and send hate comments though? I’ve heard they are getting death threats and hate comments already, why would I go out of my way to harass them even if that weren’t the case? I’m allowed to voice criticism for the flaws in a story and be annoyed that rape is added as a plot point because it feels like these authors are normalizing it because it’s literally in every single story. God forbid that I be mad that a story that already had 2 strong seasons without rape randomly adds it.
