I was raging while reading this because the ML was such a dick, and the MC just kept letting him do whatever he wanted. But I started warming up to the story around chapter 59, when the ML finally realized who the MC was. But, oh my lord, everything before that chapter had me feeling like I was about to have a heart attack from all the rage and stress. And it didn't help that the dialogue in the early chapters, pretty much until near the end, was so fucking cringey. Also, don't even get me started on that whole "love juice" bullshit
And as for the chasing arc/redemption arc, it was a no-no for me. It didn't take long for the MC to forgive the ML for what he had done to him. Just because their misunderstanding was resolved doesn't erase how the ML practically physically hurt him (kicked, pushed, etc.), how he made the MC find someone for him to have sex with and then clean up after them, and how he coerced him into having sex with him.
Oh, and that one chapter where the ML told the MC, "After I fuck him, you're next." Then, after he literally had sex with that person for 4 hours straight (while MC was watching take note), he proceeded to have sex with the MC. And other things the ML did, like locking him up and taking away his phone. After allat, the MC was quick to forgive the ML lol.
I honestly wanted the ML to suffer more, especially since the MC even told him that he wanted him to suffer just as much as he did. But then he proceeded to forgive him anyway, and it was happily ever after.
But then again, I guess both the MC and ML were victims of their circumstances and deserved to have their happily ever after after everything they went through. I mean, the ML thought his partner/mate was dead, so he was just living however he wanted. He also had trust issues. Meanwhile, the MC (who was actually the partner he thought was dead) believed that the ML had forgotten about him and found himself another partner, + ML was living promiscuously while still having that supposedly partner. What the MC didn't know was that the ML genuinely thought he had died, and the partner he kept talking about was actually him. And on top of that, the ML kept seeing his previous, supposedly dead partner in the MC, which MC thought that he's just a replacement. So, yeah, it was one big, BIG misunderstanding. But fcking still, the ML was a DICK to the MC (︶︿︶)=凸
