anyways to the people coming here expecting to enjoy their time or even get a good read after the adaptation, go read my beloved oppressor or even the redemption of earl nottingham because i think they’re much, much, much better stories when it comes to tackling sensitive topics like privilege, classism or the consequences of war, with characters very much aligning to the ideals of their times but not succumbing to bad & stagnant writing
