I thought it was going to be good. I’ve been enjoying foodie manhwa lately but each one suddenly becomes disappointing. There’s one I can’t remember the name now that has become AI art like come one. Regardless. This started off okay, her cooking, helping out ML. But then it accelerated rapidly, a major time skip with zero character building in between aside from flashbacks on Ml’s abysmal academy days. I know it’s supposed to be romance, but why did we start with him being 14??? She’s at least 18. On top of him being 14, after the time skip he’s suddenly obsessed with her all bc she wasn’t a cook anymore when he got back. Yeah, maybe she was important in his formative years, but this is so poorly executed that you’re left wondering why he even wants to see her so bad aside from some fucking pumpkin soup - zero character building. Additionally, someone you saw as a cute child should remain that way for a while, instead MC immediately sees him as a man, blushing all over him, seeing water drip down his neck. You literally just reunited with someone you saw as a child to raise with TLC. Like, there’s zero effort in the plot and storyline, there’s no real character development aside from “I cook teehee” and “I eat your cooking while blushing teehee”. Ik I shouldn’t go in with major expectations but I want at least some effort. Also how is the brother constantly showing up? He’s a wanted man literally being hunted down, and he’s in the castle so often or leaving her messages, like wtf make it make sense.
