Yes this series does not have a happy ending whatsoever. I remember blasting through the original ver and the end was very sad. Tbh the ML is pretty manipulative and obsessive but he does very much love the MC. For the ending mc and ml runaway in the middle of winter away from the hospital (atp everyone knew including family members). MC decided to commit suicide in the middle of the night by jumping into the ocean? River? and drowned and the morning after ML followed him in death by jumping as well.
