I wear black in defiance of this bizarre day.
Valentine is the patron saint of beekeepers and epilepsy, as well as the plague, fainting and travelling among many other things.
And why people think it is romantic to celebrate the day that a man was murdered in the name of the Church is beyond fathomable.
