This manga was not that bad. it had a certain depth to the story in which I wish it was more connected with each other. Honestly, Ten is probably my favorite character and I was hoping that Arata could at least try to try to look at things from his perspective. It was never about choosing either one. It's about how you love someone and in the end, Ten understands this in his own messed up way. There's a lot of mentally f-up things going on with this manga, for example like how Yanagi never properly discussed about his relationship with the guy, and how he used him (which also explains how he manipulates Arata to do what he wants). I felt like both Arata and Ten need like a proper treatment to address their issues and I don't quiet like that way the problems were being glossed over with 'a happy/ok ending'.

There were rape in this manga. But if you guys read Hidoku Shinaide (which is rated high btw), it is almost like a similar situation and feel to how everything started. It's not like super rapey (although I said this, I still dislike it)

    So true!!!
There are many mangas wich I wished I could call great, since the relationship development of the characters IS great, but it's premise is so absolutely WRONG that this nice development should be IMPOSSIBLE to happen in a healthy way.

Like Hidoku Shinaide, for example. If we skip the first volume, we meet an smexy plus cute couple with great relationship balance, in wich friendship plays an important role. But how can we ignore that Nemugasa was RAPED and blackmailed by Maya? If he were a girl, would we see it as something so forgiving?
Rape is not an easy to get over, forgive and forget experience. Healthy people don't actually fall in love with their rapists.

And they always portray it in a confusing manner. The raped ukes seem to enjoy the act even though they are saying "no". It is as if they aren't giving in only because they are too proud to admit it. It is as if denying and resistance is actually a huge "turn on" that is better than consensuality. It happens in Koisuru Boukun, it happens in Junjou Romantica and it is accepted, the manga is being released for more than a decade now.

I must adimit I did read all these manga, but I do think a cultural change is needed. So we can just accept it as something normal.
