I have to agree. Im so incredibly disappointed. Its just sad. Everything Shouta is going through is sad. He doesn't have anyone he feels he can rely on and everyone around him is being selfish, except for that girl. Honestly, fuck it, she is the only one who has treated him right and worried about him all this time. Fuck Daiki, I wish Shouta could be with that girl who ACTUALLY loves him. She cares about him and has watched over him and put his feelings first. Meanwhile, Daiki has been absolutely nothing but selfish. He hasn't thought about what Shouta has been going through one bit and looking back, every time they talked in the whole manga and Shouta tried to talk about himself and his like Daiki was completely only thinking about himself and not even really listening. Daiki sucks. Shouta deserves better.

This manga used to be super cute and the art style is absolutely beautiful but I'm incredibly uncomfortable with recent developments. The whole 'forcing them down and pushing yourselves onto them' is disgusting and horribly cliche, not to mention Daiki had proved himself to be a good guy before that. And he isn't even reflecting on it!! Or feeling guilty!! He's effectively saying he's blameless because he was "irresistible". Sorry to say, victim blaming isn't my thing.
I like this author and I had been loving Yoake ni Furu, but I think it's time for me to let it go. Hopefully, the author's next works will lack this rape-y vibe.
